If crime in SF is truly falling, how do we explain the media coverage that paints it a metropolis in free-fall? Is it just garden variety manipulation or is some crime rising while other crime is falling, or is everyone just torturing the data in different ways and coming up with different conclusions?

One thing is that street homelessness is conflated with disorder and, wrongly, crime.

While drug use is high in that population the crime people actually fear like shootings or armed robberies is not going up as a result of boudins policies

And yeah the point of this series is to show how progressive Das are blamed for everything that goes wrong and conservatives don’t take responsibility for anything, nor does the media hone in on their records/crime rates
