It is really hard to elicit a coherent point from this article. I just did a search into The Atlantic magazine archive on Gaza and found 970 articles, including recent in depth articles that actually provide the context that a 30 second tic toc video simply cannot.

One point of the post is the abject absurdity of jokers like Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley lecturing anybody about being ill-informed or indoctrinated. Theses are the clowns who traffic in absurd conspiracy theories and who surrendered whatever honor and integrity they once had the day they bent the knee, licked the boot, and swore eternal fealty to their Orange God-King.
Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley are far from uninformed. They do not have the excuse of being stupid because they are not. They know full well the threat that the Orange-God King poses not just to the constitutional rule of law in the US but also to democratic values throughout the West (look at the Trump wannabees in Brazil and now in Argentina). The truth is that Rubio and particularly Hawley will gladly sacrifice democracy and the rule of law to retain power. So will the entire GOP, which is now a fascist cult. I wish that the above post was about that.
I am politically homeless, as are many here on Substack. Both the Trump GOP and the Postmodernist Progressive Left would be illiberal, totalitarian hell to live under. Just different delusions of utopia and utter disregard of any moral constraints on how to get there. The Progressive response to Hamas proved that. Liberalism is dying in the West.
Interesting take that begs the question: “If tiktok, in fact, isn’t transforming amerikkkas youth from run of the mill, privileged malcontents into braindead, virulent jihadis, then what is?”
