Yeah it's odd to me to create a campaign that is based on an explicitly false dichotomy, that harm reduction and overdose prevention centers inherently excludes treatment; that if such centers and services exist, that means people will not enter treatment. That's a pretty bold assertion!
Infuriating. It’s the same way I feel when people start sounding off on the “drug war” and securing borders. It’s like pouring money into a hole. It’s no mystery how I feel about this. 🤦🏻♀️
...especially when you consider ending the drug war is quite literally the single most helpful thing the US government could do for the conditions of living in South/Central America that force people to flee. Idiocracy.
Honestly, the addiction industry in this country could do with a very vigorous airing out.
From their over diagnosis of addiction to the mental abuse that is still done in their programs, to ignoring actual research showing that a lot of "addicts" are really users, these people are both players and recipients of lucre in the "drug wars."
I mean, if you're happy with THE program good for you, I don't want to keep you from it, but understand that there is no one system that's going to be appropriate for everyone and by insisting on an abstinence only paradigm you're definitely killing some people.
That part is confusing, too! Like -- the Biden family spent $100,000s of dollars trying to help Hunter recover... and it seems like a strange thing to connect that experience to consumption sites? Like, I don't get how they're at all related!!
Everything about that is comical. So they want us to spend billions on amazing drug treatment centers and give their sons fail son jobs?

Can’t wait for your new paper.

I know this for a fact.
What is wrong with people?!
Does this ad imply Hunter never came to Biden family functions high and got fed and watched, not arrested ? So confused.
